AI Website Design: How We Build Small Business Websites With Claude

Building a website used to take weeks or months. Now we build most small business sites with Claude, an AI tool made by Anthropic, and then refine every page by hand.

The result is a fast, clean website that looks great and is ready for Google, built in a fraction of the time. Here is exactly how we do it.

Our process, step by step

1. Start with the idea

Every site starts with a conversation. What does the business do? Who are its customers? Where does it work? Which services matter most? The answers decide which pages the site needs and what each page should say.

2. Get a domain

Next, we pick and register a domain name. We look for something short, easy to say, and easy to remember. The business should own the domain in its own name.

3. Connect it to Hostinger

We host our sites on Hostinger. We connect the domain to the hosting account and turn on SSL, so the site loads with the secure https lock in the browser.

4. Build the site with Claude

This is where AI comes in. People call it vibe coding. We describe what we want in plain words: the layout, the pages, the colors, the sections, the copy. Claude writes the code.

Then we keep steering. Make this bigger. Move that up. Add a call button here. We go back and forth until the site matches our vision.

5. Make a few edits by hand

AI gets us most of the way there. Then we check everything ourselves. We confirm phone numbers, services, and service areas. We add real photos. We check how every page looks on a phone. We set up titles, descriptions, and schema markup for Google.

A couple of edits here and there, and we are good to go.

6. Launch and tell Google

We upload the site, test every page and link, and submit a sitemap in Google Search Console. That tells Google the site exists and which pages to look at.

What AI does, and what we do

AI is fast at writing code and first drafts. It is not good at knowing your business. It does not know your real prices, your best services, or the towns you actually serve.

That is our job. We decide what goes on the site, check every fact, fix what AI gets wrong, and make sure the site is set up to rank. AI does the heavy lifting. People make it right.

Getting indexed is the first step. Ranking highly takes more. These are the signals that move a new site up:

• A Google Business Profile. A complete, active Google Business Profile helps you show up on Google Maps and in local results.
• Trust and authority signals. Regular social media activity, reviews, and consistent business details across the web all help.

With a good set of backlinks, a Google Business Profile, and steady activity, we have seen new sites rank highly within 1 to 3 months. How fast depends on your market and your competition, so we cannot promise a timeline. But the pattern is real.
